The Tony Ryan Fund for Tipperary ‘Supporting children and young people to reach their full potential’

Children don’t come with instructions, and parenting isn’t easy . Being a good parent takes patience, experience and knowledge that often come from lessons learned by trial and error. Any parent who is honest will admit that their child can try their patience and drive them to their wits end.

Considerable evidence shows that a positive, consistent bond between parent and child leads to more positive communication and parenting, and a more socially competent child. The Incredible Years Parenting Programme  provides   positive  approaches to increasing a parent’s skills and confidence and encourages positive behaviour in their child. Research shows that children with solid social skills will perform better in school and later in life.

The Tony Ryan Fund for Tipperary was established by the Tony Ryan Trust through The Community Foundation for Ireland.  The fund aims to improve the life experience of children & young people living in County Tipperary.
