South Tipperary Development is working with five communities across the county enabling them to explore the possibilities around developing community enterprises. McAdam Consultancy has been appointed to work with the five groups – Sliabh Ardagh Rural Development; Tipperary Mid West Radio; Burncourt Community Council; Fethard Business and Tourism Group and Muintir na tire. The initiative is being delivered through “group classroom training” and one-to-one mentoring. Recently the classroom section was completed and all 20 participants received a certificate.
McAdam Consultancy will continue to mentor the groups on a on-to-one basis between now and September, when it is hoped some of the communities will be ready to kick-start their community enterprises.
