200 people attended the ‘Who to Talk To? Clonmel Expo Event in the Clonmel Park Hotel on Monday 18th May 10am – 1pm.

The Expo was hosted by South Tipperary Development Company as part of a joint initiative coordinated by the Local Enterprise Office as part of Tipperary Enterprise Week 2015.
‘Who to Talk To’ provided for the coming together of over 40 services and agencies to showcase their service to members of the public. The event in Clonmel was specifically focused on the services and supports that would be of value to someone out of work, looking to retrain and upskill, return to education or consider self-employment.
Service Providers attended included: Local Enterprise Office, Tipperary Education and Training Board, Department of Social Protection – Employment Services, Local Tipperary Childcare Company, Solas, LIT, Tipperary Skillsnet, South Tipperary Volunteer Centre, South Tipperary Employability Services, National Learning Network, Micro Business Network, Green Business Network, Carers Association of Ireland, COMPASS Employment Support Service.
2015 is the sixth year of an annual Expo event by South Tipperary Development Company. Each year the format and content of the event changes in order to maintain its relevance to needs of people who are out of work.
Martin Quinn, Chairperson of STDC provided the opening address which was followed by two presentations by Guest Speakers – David O’Donnell, HEO Department of Social Protection and Bridgette Compton, Finance and HR Manager Ború Stoves, Thurles.
Funding Workshops were provided by Tipperary Local Enterprise Office, Enterprise Ireland, Intertrade Ireland and Microfinance Ireland.
